About

About

Welcome to the Southern Dental Clinic. We thrive on providing comprehensive care to the community and surrounding areas. Our goal is to create an environment where you are the center of care.  We assist you in achieving your healthiest state; physically, mentally and spiritually. When a patient visits our office, the goal of each member of our team is to provide exceptional care in a safe, comfortable atmosphere.

If you make an appointment to be seen, you will be scheduled with your assigned primary dental provider. If she/he is unavailable, you will be asked to see the other provider. If it is an urgent matter that can’t wait, you will be scheduled with the first available provider.

We will ensure that appropriate referrals to specialists and other types of providers are completed. We ask that you keep the dental clinic informed of any outside care you receive so that your primary dental provider has a complete picture of your oral health.

Please schedule a routine oral exam. It is recommended that you see your provider on an annual basis to ensure that you receive the best oral care. This is also an opportunity to build a relationship with your provider.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I schedule a cleaning?

The dental provider would like to do a complete dental exam before a cleaning is done.

What should I do if my dental crown or my filling falls out?

If your dental crown comes off, save it and call us for an appointment. Not only is the exposed tooth painful, but it might also be vulnerable to breaking. There’s no need to save a tooth filling, but you should call our dental office, so we can restore your tooth.

Why do I have pain when chewing?

There are many reasons why you might have pain when chewing. Does the painful tooth have a dental crown or filling? If so, the crown or filling might be loose or damaged.

If your tooth hurts after you bite down on something hard, you might have a cracked or inflamed tooth.

Can I fix my broke tooth?

Never try to repair a broken tooth yourself. A fractured tooth is at risk for infection or tooth loss.  Call our office for an appointment if you believe you have a damaged tooth. Avoid chewing on the tooth and take a pain reliever until you can come into our office. We’ll evaluate the extent of the damage and do everything we can to save and protect the tooth.
